Its been pretty quite on the blog lately, what with the sparse postings, sorry..

But alot been happening behind the scene, and when that happens the blog is first to be hit.

Why the lack of posts?

Couple of weeks back everyone at home was hit really hard with the flu bug, especially my girls and hubby, looking after all 3 of them wiped me out, i was so physical and mentally drained that blogging was the last thing i was thinking about, its really something that i enjoy and feel inspired to do, so didn't want to blog about just for the sake of it, plus i couldn't find the time....

A couple of days off, turned into a few...The not blogging part was starting to become a little stressful, i had a schedule, which i liked keeping to, but when i wanted to write, i couldn't, seriously if there is such a thing as writers block then i had bloggers block, anyone had this? what did you do? i literary couldn't think what to post, which is pretty weird, if you've been doing something everyday for nearly a year..

if you follow me on twitter you may have found me complaining about my mojo going awol, as per lovely folk on twitters advice i took a step back,  i went out biking, went to town, the library, took pictures..{not all in the same day mind} but rest assured my inspiration would come.. in its own time.

Sometimes you just need some me time, don't you think?...but i still didn't want to blog, in fact iv been feeling pretty low last few weeks, seems it been things just piling up, re branding & taking something you do as fun to something that might pay you back isn't the easiest of task, well not for me anyway, if you have ever started a small business you'll know how hard it can be... couple that with going away ..uff!

So I'm feeling slightly inspired now, i mean I'm writing this aren't i?! as a type I'm in the middle of getting a shiny new site designed, which is been on the cards for a while now, look forward to sharing it with you in March{fingers crossed}also working on something a little top secret, that's taking me all the way to Lahore this weekend..seriously cant wait to share that one...its a gamble but hey life's for taking risks right? I'll be blogging about my trip, on my other blog, daily {she says}so if you like food/shopping you may just want to check it out! blog ke peeche

I feel really blessed to be able to take a labour of love and turn it into that little more, once I'm back I'll be taking on some event styling & even getting into some full blown wedding planning, only within the north west of England though.

Well no not really, everyone keeps joking its going to be my second honeymoon {i got married in Lahore, more on that later}i have really mixed feelings about going, on one hand new adventures await, but on the other and if your a mum you might squeal in horror with "your doing what" but I'm leaving the girls behind, for 2 whole weeks with my parents, difficult is an understatement, luckily they have sleep overs at my mums all the time, and they dot on them, but two weeks in a whole different country without them, no kisses or hugs..how will i cope...although my little one assures my she will give them via the laptop! :)

So how do you stay inspired? anywhere i should visit while I'm away in pakistan?

Love, Breakups Zindagi & Where the heck have i been??

Well hellooo, iv been at home actually the weekend break spilled into the weekdays, but honestly I'm glad for the break, got to catch up with friends/family and my on going career drama, saw me at a college open day. but as you know, couple days off and the work piles up. Lot of fashion show pictures for you, crammed full of inspiration. I'll be sharing details of our trip to London to see Pakistan Fashion Week, boy do i love that city, but the traffic!!

oh and a big hello *waves* to all the new followers, on blogger,a facebook and twitter, appreciate the love and support from you guys, and do get in touch, great hearing from you.

It turns out I'm quite the Bollywood geek, so here I go again, Dia Mirza, who really isn't a bad actress hasn't really had the most success with her films, is she too pretty? I'm looking forward to her new film, {its a first} even if its just for all the Ritu Kumar suits she wears.

The film Love Breakups Zindagi is out in October, tries to answer the question related to love, breakups and life.

Très Chic/Update & Sunday Links

Finally an update, it has as you all know been a tragic week in the UK, I was in Manchester city centre this afternoon and you couldn’t help but notice all the boarded up windows :( sad times. Let’s hope if any good come out of these events it’s that we retain this sense of community that has come out in us all.

Now notice anything different on the blog, I had a little play around with the look of it last week, it’s still pretty basic but I’m happy for now {not sure how long it will be before i change it again}

On to the news, my girls will be starting school and nursery in September, so I have been looking for a JOB!! A dreary prospect indeed! I have no enthusiasm for it what so ever and honestly it would mean wedding blogging would be on the back burner.

So i thought to myself why can’t I just do what I’m doing, and make this my job? Crazy I know, but it has been done, lots of people turn hobby into work, so I have decided to take that leap of faith.

Me – Self Employed! I have a new feeling of excitement which is also mixed with some pressure and even a little anxiety, to earn! My only worry is that the fun may be sucked right out of blogging. Well see…

So what does this mean for the blog? Well it’s still going to all the usual stuff, if anything I would expect I can bring it up a notch.

The main area for revenue will be advertising/sponsorship. So if you like you can now have a pretty little ad of the blog :) For a while now i have wanted to start a wedding directory which will have vendors from all over the UK, not just certain parts, and love thy vendor; this will be handpicked guide,of people that you will recommend, at last there both taking shape!

The blog has always been about ideas that you can really use for your wedding, and giving inspiration so you can have your day your way! I hope to always maintain that.

Hope you all had a great weekend, I'm pretty relaxed even though I'm moving house next weekend, eek! but seems time away gives you plenty food for thought, so if your planning in your sleep, step back and take a breather!!


As promised Pakistan Fashion Extravaganza 2011 pictures will be up soon. 


A few weeks ago I watched a clip of the ONE show on BBC1 in the program they featured brides who's big day had been ruined, by a rogue photographer.


Pictures create and capture memories that you want with you for the rest of your days, so its extremely important that you take the correct steps in booking a good and trust worthy photographer.
There are ways that you can make sure the photographer you book is reputable and professional. One of the most influential Asian wedding photographers in the UK Monir Ali will be telling you exactly what to look for when booking your dream photographer.

Now lets move on a little, so now you know, who you are booking, and they send you a 
quote, which may in turn make you fall off your seat and make you think how much??
I mean how hard can it be to take a good picture on such a joyous occasion especially when everyone is looking so great. And all that money, what for? its only a few hours work and even then there only going to burn the pictures on a CD. Honestly I would be thinking the same thing.

But actually its not as easy as all that. What goes on behind the scene's, is not just a few hours work. Jay of jhoque photography tackles this very question  - why is wedding photography so expensive? here i do urge you to read this, so you can get a greater understanding to the reasons behind the costs.

Update - Anything But 9 to 5 / Crying Babies at the Movies??

I feel like I have been away for a month, but in reality its only been a week, slowly catching up. The break although not planned did allow me time to think, with both my girls going to school/nursery at the end of the summer, the 9 to 5 jobs is calling me, so either i need to think more about this wedding planning business, or take the blog more seriously.


at the weekend i went to watch Salman Khans new film Ready (more about that tomorrow) for a reason i will never understand many people had brought very young children, now I'm not anti kids (i have two) but ones that can't sit still (most toddlers can't) or to my horror a baby and i mean under 12 months..poor thing pretty much cried all the way through the movie.. is this an Asian thing? to make matters worse i wanted to complain and Mr said i was being mean as some people can't get a baby sitter..what! :O


Well lets hope the next movie i watch isn't a drag, strictly for blogging purposes of course I'll be watching bridesmaids.... I'm not sure this will appeal to every one, but i think it looks super funny!

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh Stop Baby Time

I had a rather long and thought provoking blog planned for today, but it's just not suiting  my mood at all, we have had a new addition into our family today (not me my brother and sis in law had a little girl) can you imagine blogging while in labour eek!! 


so I'm off now for some major cuddles, but fear not next week I will bore you with that post oh and more wedding eye candy of course. plus i have links for you which i'll try get up this weekend at some point :)

Blog HQ Update/News

Happy Monday Lovelies, how was your weekend? There won't be much happening today a) because I'm so tired, after a jam packed weekend and b) i have major blog posting to catch up on. 

I finally got the go ahead, to do the baby shower dessert table at the weekend, and  i realised I'm definitely not a baker, but loved and i mean loved making cake pop..and pom poms, and they look so difficult but are so easy, I'll have some DIY post up this week, which you'll just have to try!

Happy Monday! This Week @ Blog HQ

Morning and happy Monday..someones in a good mood you might be thinking, well yes i am :))

now i believe this is effect's of the sun, it has to be the whole weekend was just lovely, proper get the t-shirt and BBQ out sort of weather, and with this i even started my plan to be healthy, (lets see how long it last this time)

great stuff planned this week - shoes fit for a princess! two - q & a sessions, pictures from Willis fashion week, and i somehow forgot to post some total gems from ace photographer Sharon Nayak, i know how could i, so I'll fit them in this week.

and my most exciting news, i am doing some designing this weekend! sooner than i thought by hey.. so excited, i practically was dreaming about it last night.

I'm also making or should i say attempting to make macaroons and cake pops for the weekend, i figure if i start today by then i should have made something edible!!

Since i mention sweet goods, why have just one wedding cake when you can have two, that's what Prince William and Kate Middleton are doing, I'll be having a look at what the "other cake " is.

Update - What To Do Now & Help!

the sun is out..and its gorgeous...

i actually put washing out!! and i get so excited about the sun i forget the hay fever that comes along with it :( but its a small price to pay.. oh how i have missed the warm sun...

now for a little update, iv have came to a little cross roads with the blog, my wedding planning studies are all wrapped up, so technically i should go print some cards and start wedding planning right?? 

well I'm loving blogging, and now playing with the idea of doing some design, coordination, floral, and photo shoots. yes i said photo shoots, some mad ideas i need to get into a picture. ( not sure how but so want to do it) so that's just some things I'm mulling over.

in the mean time, I'm still on to making the blog better first up.

♥ THY VENDOR - your help is really needed here, I'm looking for recommendations for vendors, be it a photographer, a makeup artist, cake maker the lot, be they big or small, they have to be special and have gave you services worth shouting about from the roof tops.

and 

♥ what do you like to seeing on the blog - even though i started A wedding blog its for became a little more than just that, and i quite like that, but now i want to define the blog a little more, so what are the thing you would like to see more of be it fashion, real weddings, beauty, makeup, gossip,bollywood, editorial, photography,inspirational boards, even hijab! 

♥ tumblr blog- I started this to use as a one picture inspiration, and was posting randomly, but I'm now going to use it as a look book, for fashion, makeup and cupcakes :) and more, so it should make up sense and be a joy to browse.

The Asian Lifestyle ,Wedding & Fashion Exhibition 2011, Manchester is on this weekend it will be my fisrt time going, and i'll have my brides hat on, so lets see how useful it is for planning out "the" wedding!
