90210 - The Indian Wedding & That Dress!!

The season finale of 90210 saw Ivy and Raj will tie the knot in traditional Indian fashion. Even though it was a little cliched, I loved how Ivy looked, so simple yet stunning

Californian wedding planners Planning Elegance were approached by one of the producers of 90210. They were asked to play the role of technical advisor to the 90210 production team in some of the South Asian Hindu Ceremony aspects of the season finale.

Owner Amy S Patel said

“ I was personally involved in the entire process. Using my strong background in wedding planning and coordination, I was easily able to give the directors, producers, and writers of the show advice and direction on certain South Asian traditions and cultures. Hired as a Technical Advisor, I participated in production meetings, director meetings, as well as filming days to help guide the directors to reach their goal of creating an authentic Indian Wedding – attention to detail is what they strove for.”

I must admit I was a little disappointed that all the main characters weren’t in Asian clothes, even inspired ones would have been great.

But I think Naomi's sari dress pretty much made up for it. Just gorgeous, the dreamy robin egg blue green colour looked amazing on her.

Clothing maker Kime Buzzelli was the genius behind the dress, but making the dress wasn't easy, you can read more about it here and see the Dior dress that the designer used as inspiration.

Star Studded: Jennifer Lopez Mixes it Up in Louboutin Pumps @ The Grammys

Uff looking...smoking hot i think are the words im looking for, 41, yes 41 year, old mum of twins, Jennifer Lopez brought the glam to the red carpet in Christian Louboutin Very Mix platform peep toe pumps at the 53rd annual Grammy' awards. Teamed with an impossibly short Emilio Pucci gown.

Jenny's spiked heels perfectly suited her high octane glamorous look. Adorned with dangerously studded spikes, the platform pumps were the perfect way to mix up her sexy look with a little dash of edge.

Audrey Hepburn - Breakfast at Tiffany

The cab door opens. A girl gets out and goes over to gaze into the window of Tiffany’s. This scene, of course, made movie history. We just had our first glimpse of Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly.

I was quite young when I first watched Breakfast at Tiffany and for many years I actually thought you could get a cup of coffee and pastry from Tiffany's, and how ironic that Hepburn's had a dislike of pastries.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the classic movie.
How amazing that half a century on and “audrey style” is still giving us inspiration..

Influence is apparent even in Hindi cinema

Sadhana Shivdasani  was asked by R.K. Nayyar to style her hair with a fringe (like Audrey Hepburn); this hairstyle later became a craze and is still referred to as the "Sadhana cut" in India

Its an all time favorite film of mine, so if yo haven't seen it, do!!
