Was totally inspired by this image below, to create a board, for a bride wearing hijab, with a silver & white colour palette, perfect for this time of year. Since Eid is also around the corner, Silver is a great colour to rock at any event!

Ok I know this is not exactly what a hijabi what look for in a dress, not quite cutting it in the modesty stakes...but...I think they serve as great inspiration.

ReplyDeleteYeah I would love to see more hijabi post I think us hijabis shouldn't limit ourselves from where we take inspiration as I believe you can make anything modest apart from the obvious x

I'm Fay from Henna Liverpool (we're friends on Facebook, I think!) :) I absolutely LOVE the pictures you've put up here, inspirational for muslim women and women of other religious backgrounds alike. I definitely agree with Zara Writes, hijabis shouldn't have to limit where they get their inspiration from, you can still look modest and lovely at the same time (as that bride above demonstrates :D) - I'm not actually a muslim myself but I can honestly say that my muslim and hijabi friends always look (frustratingly!) beautiful by wearing stunning clothes and not revealing too much skin. You spoil the fun when you do that anyway ;) That bride at the top is absolutely stunning and the silver theme is magical, very reminiscent of winter :)
