Designer Notes - Julien Trivedi I Bespoke Menswear

The groom, the most important aspect of the wedding, after all there is no wedding without the man and so with that thought in mind i will make an effort to have more for the grooms on this blog, and what a great way to start off than to introduce to you, Julien Trivedi a contemporary Brit-Asian bespoke outfitter, a man who will not only make you stand out, but look damn fine too, what more do you need!?

Here he answers a few question's

I started designing because... I have a real passion for men’s tailoring and after spending many years working for some of the most formidable men’s outfitters, designing my own wedding outfit led to the perfect opportunity to put my years of experience to use and start offering something fresh for the man of today.

I was attracted to designing wedding attire as... I found there is a huge variety of choice for the bride for her big day, but a distinct lack of focus on the groom for what is his big day also. Times have changed, men are now generally a lot more fashion conscious than before and at Julien Trivedi we ensure they are spoilt for choice and when his bride walks down the isle she can be sure he will be looking his suited and booted best!

My style is... varied as is each one of my clients nor do I restrict myself to a set pattern or style, I specialise in made-to-measure and bespoke outfits and I believe “Style” is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after style.

A perfect wedding suit should be... based on “Style” being an expression of one’s individualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after style and the perfect wedding suit should be an extension of your personality.

Visiting my studio you will find... one of the largest collection’s of exclusive outfits to cater for every style, Traditional Sherwani’s are always a signature look but are not everyone’s taste; our Fusion Collection caters for those who want that Traditional look with .a modern contemporary fit. You will also find Jodhpuri’s to Elegant Morning Wear, Reception Suits to our ‘Distinguished’ range (as recently worn by Punjabi By Nature for his latest music video ‘Kaun Nach Di’) for this ultra exclusive events. For me it is more than just a studio with a collection of outfits, we spend time with our clients, getting to know them, their style and personality whilst advising on what would suit best for that client. What some people have in mind is not always what would suit that person best, for their shape, skin complexion or even their personality, not everyone can carry everything off and we will ensure you have the most memorable outfit for your big day. We make this service available to everyone with no compromise as we work on an appointment only basis, giving you our full attention.

My biggest achievement to date is... getting to the stage I am at today, overcoming a poor start in life and many hurdles along the way and striving to turn a vision and dream into a success.

In my dreams....I do not dream at night, my dream’s start when I wake up in the morning.

I am…Julien Trivedi

You probably won’t know this but... I came from London to Leicester at the age of 15 with £10 in my pocket and the clothes on my back and slept rough on the streets.

My next challenge will be... to bring something even more Fresh to the table and expand into over-seas markets.

This year I predict... grooms will be more daring in what they wear, away from the norm and not be afraid to think outside the box. Some grooms may even out shine their bride.

Look familiar you may have seen it on the December 2010 cover of ASIAN HC Magazine
