On days like these {windy, cold, wet} i cant help but crave big mugs of steamy hot chocolate, nothing like it to warm you through.
I love the ideas of providing everything for the guest to make there own yummy drinks. So in this chilly weather, why not treat your guest to hot coco at your reception or make inexpensive hot chocolate favors for them to take away.
You can either keep the base flavour simple {milk chocolate}and have flavored syrups Or have an assortment of flavours like, white, dark, mint, chili?! Have fun with it. Most venues have something to keep drinks hot in, and do make sure the liquid starts HOT, as add on's can cool the cocoa quickly.
Now for the fun part, toppings try ~ crushed peppermint sticks, whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, pirouette, cinnamon sticks, Orange twists or rinds, Chocolate chips, candy canes, sprinkles, syrups., candied ginger. - serve them in bowls, glasses, boxes, jars list is endless
Have plenty of mugs, tea cups, or even paper cups like
this and napkins oh and don't forget the spoons/stir sticks. What really makes there bars/stations stand out is, personalising it, you'll find lots of printable online, that you can use labels,{you could make even make your own using a fancy font} even make you cute signs, like the one below. Remember this doesn't have to cost allot you can find many bowls and goodies in bargain stores, pound land and IKEA. Here's some pictures to give you more of an idea.
If you dont fancy the bar ideas but still want to implment some hot chocolate why not go for some in the form of Favors
