Review - Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser by Rohima @ Well, isn’t that Wizard?

The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is one item in my skin care arsenal I refuse to give up. I know there are already many reviews online about how amazing it is but I really want to share my experience with you. In my opinion it really is worth the £13 and the two minutes it takes to use it.
At the time I purchased it, I was really unhappy with my skin. It kept breaking out and looked dull and uneven. After hearing the Cleanse & Polish mentioned on the Pixiwoo Youtube channel a year ago, I decided I would give it a try – after all, it claims to reveal clean, soft and radiant skin, just what I needed! It had also won several awards, which reassured me what I wasn’t investing on yet another ‘miracle’ product – with big PR and small results.
The cleanser works in two phases. The first phase is to apply the product on to dry skin and massage it in. The great thing about it is that you can use it over a full face of make up – and yes, I can testify that it does remove stubborn mascara, as claimed on the Liz Earle website.
The next phase requires a pure muslin cloth (they provide two with the Starter Pack) wet with ‘hand hot’ water. With this, you go over your face to wipe off the residue cleanser. Not only does this step leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed, it exfoliates to leave it noticeably more radiant and clear. The cleanser has never irritated my skin or eyes – it really strikes the perfect balance between gentle yet effective.
The product is plant based and contains cocoa butter, rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus essential oil. It has a pleasant herbal scent and leaves the skin feeling smooth and refreshed as opposed to dry and tight, as some cleansers do.
I, personally, cannot find anything negative with this product. It does sound like more work compared to using a wipe or a cotton ball but it literally takes me two minutes. I’ve learned to look forward to it! If I had to be really picky I would say that the only downside is that it is a bit expensive. I’m fine with paying this amount because I know it works for me, but others might be put off.
To end, I would like to say that I bought this product with my own hard earned money and the opinions expressed in this review is my own. I probably do sound a bit kiss-ass but I genuinely do love it!
