The Asian Bride Dilemma ~ Bouquet - To Have & To Hold or ...Not?

Yesterday I asked the lovely people on our facebook page, if a bride was really still a bride with out a bouquet?

Seems, that its not as popular as you might think, but again it really is up to you, some brides just can't see themselves without having a bouquet to hold, and some will suffice with a pouch/clutch, or nothing at all.Go with what feels right.

Traditionally Asian brides may not have had florals to hold, but its something that's ever evolving. Growing up  in a western society has influenced us, hence we add elements into our weddings, personally I think it shows diversity, Even in Pakistan and India it is it defiantly a growing trend.

But as always don't let trends dictate what you do. Have your day, your way!

Here some brides doing it their way ~

simply you...

sporting the clutch...

working the bouquet....

If you do, why not play with vibrant colors, here calendula marigolds are an ode to the traditional flowers used in Indian weddings, while ghungroos (ankle bells) tie in with the bouquet.

What do you think? Will you have a bouquet, and if you will will you throw it? now that's another dilemma

Stunning Succulent Decor Inspiration

Succulents are not every ones cup of tea, but i urge you to give them a go, especially in a table setting, and if your thinking well they don't really go with my theme, colours, etc

Well fear not, Joan at flowers by bornay has took care of that by using some simple spray colour. Three sprays have been used here blue, purple, and light blue.
Sometimes one colour for one plant, sometimes the three colors at same time in one plant. the result is rather eye catching wouldn't you say..

Give it a go, use your colours, use them in arrangements, centerpieces, and bouquets..

Vintage Magpie Bouquets

Once upon a time there was a magpie called Emma, who made stunning bouquets, but these aren't any ordinary bouquets, each one is hand made using vintage jewellery, crystals, and buttons, anything with that faded grandeur.
Doesn't that just sound dreamy, i didn't have a bouquets when i got married, not sure if it was in trend at that point reallym for an asian wedding, but either way i would have absolutely loved to have one of these bouquets.  They can be matched to your wedding dress making it even more special. Be sure to check out Emma's website/blog here for more inspiration on how you can incorporate, your favorite fabric, family or you favorite piece of jewellery.

Do tell what you think of these? can you see your self getting one for your wedding?
