Weekend Links & Hair {the bumper edition}

I have actually been doing some blogging this week, hows that for progress..so as you may know, I'll be moving from blogger to wordpress very soon..eeeek... the moving part stresses the hell out of me, and i will miss all my followers here, and my reading list, but i plan to keep this blog up anyway so i can always check in, but hope you will all follow along once i move {nice little plug there}

I talked about body image this week, here's a light hearted look at it...

pastel oreos..are these for real? if so someone tell me where to get some ~ via

eggs are everywhere right now, but aren't these the prettiest? via

How about a bun, for your reception?

or maybe lots & lots of curls..do  follow this link - some great ideas for hair

Hows your Good Friday been? I spent it with my girls, I'm trying at least once a month to go out just me and them, and do fun stuff, well we do that at home anyway, but i mean, actually going out, be the cinema, museum, or just a train ride some where. well today we hit the soft play and the The Trafford Centre, which is littered with little point where they sell ice cream, cookies, pop corn and candy floss {what is this the circus??} so really its a case of enter at your own risk, i did manage to take a few pictures though..

Lush

I love this shop, but not everyone digs the smell coming out of its doors. Got me some bath bombs today, they are so... well lush really! When you just want some me time, drop one in the bath and float into sheer  bliss. Although today i nearly had a strop when i realised they stopped stocking my fave hair conditioner in stores now, can only be ordered online.
Any one tried there coolaulin conditioner?? it has the most amazing coconut smell, but not as you would know it, its a million miles away from the synthetic scent you usually get in 'coconut' shampoos... promise...

"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe"
Shoes on sale!!

soft play -  the best thing about being small, i can go in and play hehe

little one getting crafy!

freshly flipped krispy kremes.. drools

whats your fave?? mines the maple glaze..nom nom

not usually a fan of big jewels, but the light azore moonlight crystals were really pretty! by swarovski.

damn these are hard to come by in the uk, sweet peanut butter goodness..have to stock up when & if i see them!

Well that's enough from me right now, here's some lovely links for you to check out this long weekend...

There has been some great stuff in the Green Room {as always} this week via rocknroll bride, great reading for bloggers/wedding industry folk & this weeks Thursday Treats where particularly awesome..

Finally, oh how i still love this song, isn't it soo romantic & don't you just miss preity zinta?..she looked so beautiful in this song and the clothes ahh shown here in bollywood ishtyle

What plans do you have this weekend? Whatever you do, have a great time and see you on the other side.

Its ironic that I'm a wedding blogger, you see my "wedding" didn't exactly go well, {don't get me wrong im happily married see below}, but first hand, I've seen & had it all go wrong, in fact its crazy that all these years later it still hurts, reading this, made me sad, I'm not the only one, so lessons are there to be learned. My mistakes maybe why I'm so passionate about weddings now, and all for couple doing their thing, being pro active & spending money in the right places.

Having someone that can capture your day right is so important. We don't bat an eye lid, and seem happy to spend x amount so many things like dress, decor, cars, entertainment which literally are for the day itself, {not that these are any less important} yet freak out at the price of photography, that will stay with us for a life time..please do read the article.. its eye opening. especially if your thinking of not going with a professional photographer

you will have to excuse the sporadic posting, I have had a lot to get my head round lately, but some major exciting stuff is happening, as i get thing confirmed i will tell you more, and that's all is I'm saying...i have a habit of saying something and then it not happening for weeks...ahem

Being happily married part went up a notch today, seems that all the time i think my husband isn't listening to me, he is, and taking notes for that matter, for today he came home and told me i had a blogging workshop to attend!! i do? yup damn right i do....run by one of my blogging hero's, cant wait, breathe!

gotta love the zooey!  i want a fringe again, but iv just spent last few month growing it out

I'm loving this are you?? but i must say i don't agree with the glorification of sheesha {am i just saying that as i haven't tried it?}

thats all for now, have a fab weekend

Weekend Hair & Links! Christmas Edition

I've been feeling a little rough the last few couple of days, so I thought i would take the opportunity to wind down for the Christmas holidays, and spend some time with the family. Cue a song to some it all up ~

Before I was attacked by this mysterious bug, i had the chance to met some really wonderful ladies on Wednesdays at a Tweet Up in Manchester, some of them do vintage, which i love, so cant wait to share.

Now I cant promise to be back by next week, as a fair bit of work will be going on behind the scenes but i will be updating my other blog a little more, with details about blogging and moving to wordpress, {oh and attacking the boxing day sales} also from the new year I'll also be doing some more wedding planning/styling, so need some time to work out the logistic of that.

but in the meantime, here are some hair & makeup inspiration ~

{"Eccellente" with these Links, you're really spoiling us" }

Is it just me or has this year gone by soo quickly...actually find I'm saying that every year now?

Lots of Christmasy Love Rabbia xoxo

Weekend Hair & Links!

So how many of you got blown away this week? the weather has been seriously freaky.

I thought this week i would again tell you what I have learnt as it seems you can learn something new pretty much every day, and at the same time better ourselves, don't you think?

Don't accept Incompetence or unprofessionalism ~ Its tough when your pushed for time, money or have your heart set on a supplier. But regardless of who they are they should be more than willing to help you with your enquires, be prompt & and generally be thrilled that you have thought to book them!! If they give you the I couldn't care less attitude then walk away!

Speak up ~ There are situations that you only get one chance to voice your opinion so use it.

Be positive ~ With that i point you to the awesome Kat from Rock n Roll bride, who wrote this rather inspiring post this morning

Weekend Hair & Links!

How's your week been? mine has been pretty great, lots of scheming and dreaming being done. I learnt some valuable lessons this week, which I wanted to share with you.

Love your mum ~ many of us are very lucky to have our mums around, but some aren't, so make the most of it!

Have a support system ~ you need people you trust, can confide in and rely on when things don't go to plan or even when with the rug gets pulled from beneath your feet. Find these people and keep them close.

Find your inner strength ~ with every passing stage in life, comes new sets of  roles & responsibility's and being strong from within, is what will help you get though.

Adapt & find the good, even in bad ~ a fellow blogger came up against a tough time this week, everything she knew she had to change, I'm not sure where she pulled the strength and courage from, but she did and made it work for her not against, she got through it and honestly i would say came out even better on the other side.

For Sara & all bloggers

Real Weddings are what do it for me, where the ideas are put into practise ~ these couples rocked!

who says short hair cant be sexy!!

what did you learn this week? did you come across any links worth sharing?

Have lovely weekend, see you on the other side

Weekend Hair & Links!

Is it just me or has this year flew by? Christmas is nearly upon us, at home I have a stack of ferrero rocher left from the kiddies party we had mid week, and what to do well make milkshake of course.

Cute Elephant Theme via

I love all that is of yesteryear, this week someone mentioned they hadn't seen The Notebook and I was instantly reminded of Ally played by Rachel McAdams hair.

Next week is going to be an epic week, so please be ready, also want to take some time to say thank you to everyone for supporting the blog, this month as seen so many of you stop by, big hugs.

Have a great weekend.

Weekend Hair & Links!

I watched Rockstar this week, big fan of Imtiaz Ali, AR Rehman and Ranbir Kapoor, so I had high hopes, won't go into much of the story, but what I will say is Ranbir acted his heart out! This song really grew on me, its so mellow, don't you think?

Hair

heart the simplicity

Another article and another mini backlash, this time the vintage trend, with the writer claiming it was now truly the end of the vintage, I for one do like vintage, regardless of, whether its in trend or not, I think that goes for most brides, we go with what feels right, what suits our style. If your a glamour puss, bunting & having a wedding in a barn are not going to happen, even if its in trend. This is the article, I love what oh lovely day had to say about it here ~ more views here, most importantly long live what makes you happy

on to our link for this weekend

Oh how I wish there was such a thing as fairy dust?! Ive been quite the lacklustre blogger this past week, partly due to the girls being unwell, and a general lack of creatively. I have this strange habit of knowing when I should press the pause button, but I don't, I get stressed and try and do everything yet get almost next to nothing done.

But I'm hitting wedding show on Sunday, which should be fun, and next week, all the brides that sent in question {yes they finally get answered}we have a new giveaway and some guest posting, hurrah

Have a great weekend
