Paper can be such a huge source of inspiration, I recently came across some pictures of a wedding where one massive and ridiculously beautiful chandelier had been made using these paper lanterns.
It created a fantastic focal point, the reception was held in an old cathedral-ceilinged hall, similar to the picture they used white, pink, yellow, orange and red as there colours. You could easily adapt this idea to your venue.
